In 2008 in Xiamen, China I recreated a 2nd century A.D. mosaic pattern situated in my hometown Corinth, Greece.
I remember being fascinated by this mosaic during my regular visits to the local museum as a child. In order to make the pattern, I chewed Chinese colored gum. In this way I established not only a new form of cross-cultural exchange but a link between history and modernity as well.
